Welcome to our Jazz in the Meadow website!

Here’s a “heads up” regarding the 2011 edition of the Bartlett-Benedum Jazz in the Meadow. This event is scheduled for July 9 (Saturday).

We are lining up a great afternoon-early evening of superb musical entertainment. The Marty Ashby quartet will start the day at 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. At 5:00 p.m. the Frank Cunimondo trio will perform. These musicians are from the Pittsburgh area and have international reputations from playing with the masters of jazz. We will also feature a local high school jazz band between the two professional groups. We would hope that this might encourage young jazz musicians to carry on the tradition of jazz in our area.

So, come early (1:00 p.m.) and stay late (8:00 p.m.). Help us to continue the theme of our lawn party that promotes jazz, friendship, and conviviality.

We suggest early reservation at the local B and B’s and/or Seven Spring if you plan to stay overnight.
